With his sixth trophy as captain, Henderson became the first Liverpool captain to do so.
Henderson, who joined Liverpool in2011, has captained teams to victories in the Champions League, Premier League, EFL Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.
After the game, the 31-year-old told BBC Sport that helping his team win the trophy was a proud moment in a historic season.
“Winning was special because we hadn't been in this final in a long time,” Henderson said.
