The Giants cut cornerback James Bradberry on Monday to save roughly $10.1 million this season.
Before free agency in March, new GM Joe Schoen tried to move Bradberry but couldn't find a deal that worked for all parties.
Last week, Schoen expressed amazement at the lack of interest in the team's No. 1 cornerback.
"Yeah, I was," he said on WFAN. "I expected more interest. Some teams expressed interest before to the draught, and we tried to negotiate compensation, but the deal fell through.
The fact that we had nice negotiations with the other teams and their agents had good talks with teams doesn't mean that we couldn't come to an agreement."
The Giants' move was more about the money than the player.
Bradberry,28, was due $13.5 million this season and would have cost the organisation $21.9 million.
