A suspect in tactical gear livestreamed a racially motivated supermarket shooting in Buffalo on Saturday, officials said.
Saturday's shooting happened at a Tops Friendly Markets. Police have arrested a White male shooting suspect.
Payton Gendron, 18, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder Saturday night, says Buffalo City Court Chief Judge Craig Hannah.
13 were shot, and 10 died. Officials say 11 Blacks and 2 Whites were shot. Two people are still in stable condition at Erie County Medical Center.
Saturday's shooting in Buffalo is the latest high-profile mass shooting in which authorities say the suspect was motivated by hate, following attacks at a Walmart
in El Paso, Texas, a synagogue in Pittsburgh, a church in Charleston, and a nightclub in Orlando.
US Attorney General Merrick Garland said the shooting is being investigated as a hate crime and racially motivated violent extremism.
